Description

Trail begins off to the right from the trailhead. It begins through a meadow with slight incline as it winds northwest. The trail turns to the right and hits a small switchback as it climbs slightly. There is an overlook trail that branches off to the right at about 1/2 mile and then rejoins the main trail again at about mile 0.65.

The route continues to roll through oak trees and meadows until it splits at mile 0.9. This is the Juniper Valley Loop and can be taken in either direction. If you take it to the right there will be a small over look trail off to the right at around mile 1.25.

Then the trail begins a gradual and rolling decent into the small valley, before winding its way back up. This valley loop section is about 0.4 miles long. Trails are sandy and wide enough for about two people to hike next to each other.

Flora & Fauna

Oak Trees, Dessert brush, deer, elk, bear, mountain lion.
