Description

Lighting Trail makes a steady climb from the trailhead to King Peak. The trail is generally forested with a bit of chaparral at the very end. The forest includes a stretch of old growth Douglas fir. It splits about a mile up where there is the option to pass by Maple Camp instead. Both routes are similar in length to reach the top.
