Need to Know

Like many trails at Denton Hill State Park, this is a wide trail following ski slopes. The weeds can be quite high (4+ feet) during the summer, so wear pants and insect repellent.

Description

From the far (west) end of the parking lot, hike along the maintenance access road past the maintenance buildings and bottom end of the ski lift, then start climbing. A wide, obvious trail switches back and forth up the side of the hill, taking you to the summit, where you can get great views from the shut-down ski lift.

You can either turn back at this point, or continue down the hill to connect with either the Denton Hill Cross-Country Ski System (to the right), or the Doe Run Trail (to the left).
