This is black bear and mountain lion territory- always carry bear spray!

Description

Take this extended loop just below Deadman's Point to reduce the amount of trail on which you'll be doubling back. This trail drops into the gully fairly steeply into nice thicker pine forest, then climbs back up the ridgeline.
