There are restrooms at both the Baker Creek Campground and at the trailhead. The closest place to get food is the Lehman Cave Visitor Center and store.

The Baker Creek Campground - Trailhead Connector provides access from the Baker Creek Campground to the trailheads that allow you to explore the Baker Creek area.

The trail departs from the campground between sites 13 and 14 near the old pump house and climbs steadily up toward the trailhead. Following Baker Creek, the singletrack dirt trail moves through the trees and crosses a couple of wet areas.

Birch trees line the trail and provide some shade. In the late afternoon and evening, the trail is shaded by the surrounding hills making it a pleasant hike. The trail emerges from the woods and approaches the trailheads for Baker Lake Trail, Timber Creek Trail, and South Fork Baker Creek Trail. There is a parking area with a restroom for those who need to use it before exploring the trails in the area.

You can follow the road or the trail back down to the campground. This is a nice way to get between the campground and the trailheads without having to use your car.

Wildflowers can be seen along the trail in the spring time. Deer are commonly seen in the evening or morning as they are feeding. Birds can be seen flying between the trees.
