Description

Once departing the Deer Creek Trail, this hike crosses Deer Creek and abruptly turns into a steep climb up to the ridge above (if you want to avoid this, you can instead not turn onto this trail and continue up the Deer Creek Trail and use the connector trail to hike it in reverse). After the one initial climb the grade levels for the rest of the hike. Along the way you'll pass views of the East Bay Hills and San Pablo Bay. Once reaching the Western end of trail, you are rewarded with a park bench to relax that overlooks an excellent view of the Briones Reservoir.
