Need to Know

This is a remote trail; be sure to bring the 10 essentials with you. Though this trail is poorly maintained, it appears that new bog bridges will be installed soon.

Description

This trail starts from the end of Nash Stream Road and Nineteen Valley Trail. It travels northerly along an old tote road. It comes out to an open meadow with excellent views west. When the trail comes out to the next open area, it turns right uphill. It travels through a marshy area, where you can see tons of Sundew plants.

After coming out to Bulldozer Flat, the trail takes an arcing left turn. In a short distance, the trail turns into a singletrack through the woods. The trail descends, slightly, and curves around the upper part of the valley and then climbs an old road through the woods. It takes a sharp right turn and winds its way to Baldhead Shelter.

Flora & Fauna

Flora: Sundew Plants.
Fauna: Grouse, Deer Flies.
