Description

The trail begins along House Rock Road at an entrance to House Rock Nature Preserve. The trail meanders slowly downhill, crossing House Rock Run before it connects with the Conestoga Trail. From here, it travels SE along the river for over a mile. Several beautiful views of the river below are offered along the way. Along this leg will be a stream crossing, Brubaker Run.

Eventually, at about the 1.5-mile mark, the Ralph Goodno Trail will separate from the Conestoga Trail by turning left and making its way uphill. The trail will take you through more forest and along Reed Run. You'll travel along a couple farm fields before crossing a large open meadow and finally arriving at House Rock Road. Turning left and walking along the road will take you back to the parking lot where you began.

Flora & Fauna

Rododendron, Daffodils, Eagles, Turkey buzzards.
