Overview

This is a good climb up to the first viewpoint and then up and down hiking until you reach the Plymouth Mountain Lookout. It's all downhill from there, and you can really bomb it if you want!

Need to Know

There are bathrooms and picnic tables.

Description

From the trailhead, start on the uphill singletrack on the Plymouth Creek Trail until it meets up with the drainage. From here, it's pretty wide.

I took the Plymouth Creek Trail up to the viewpoint off of the Red Mesa Loop and then back down to the Homesteader Trail, up to the top of Plymouth Mountain Lookout and then downhill to the Meadowlark Trail for a finish. It was in 6" of snow so was a pretty fun hike!

You can vary the distance and difficulty of this hike by choosing one or the other of the viewpoints.
