Features River/Creek · Views

Description

After driving through what appears to be a retirement community, the trail starts in a small parking lot. The first feature is a small overlook that allows views of the surrounding area, including minimal views of the creek. Taking the trailhead to the left of the observation area, you can choose to go left or right.

The lower elevation section of this trail follows the wide, slow moving creek for approximately 0.8 miles where you are able to observe several sections of dried up creek bed from where it previously flowed. Much of the trail is covered in sand and is quite close to the edge, so make sure to keep an eye on young children.

Many sections of rock outcroppings allow for exploration and a little climbing.

Flora & Fauna

There are quite a few (dead and alive) Hemlock's growing along this trail.
