Description

This trail forks off from the Third Fork Rock Creek Trail #004 a couple miles in. It heads up Martindale Canyon, paralleling the creek along the way. The steep canyon walls provide shade on the north facing slopes so groves of aspens and stands of pines can flourish. The trail climbs steadily the entire way, providing a great workout on the way up and a speedy trip on the way down. The trail connects with the main Rogerson-Oakley Road that spans the South Hills from east to west. The road is a major thoroughfare for ATVs, Jeeps, and other outdoor recreationists.
