Jackson County public land hike in River Bluff Reserve. This is the "most difficult" loop.

Features River/Creek · Wildlife

Description

From the westernmost parking start, this loop begins as a well-established trail and then devolves into an unmarked trail along the creek bed that then climbs to a ridge overlooking the train tracks. The return path is an extremely overgrown old service road with brambles and downed trees crossing the path.

This can be combined with an adjacent loop that goes along the bluffs, through boulders, and has views of the river in the distance.

Flora & Fauna

Plenty of poison ivy.
