The trail starts off in the corner of Peter Pan Park along the Frisbee golf area. The one concern with this is the trail gets really close to the river in many places with a 15-20' dropoff into the river. I would recommend caution in these areas if you take young hikers along and the trail steward should consider rerouting these dangerous sections.

The trail takes you by All Veterans Memorial Park, where you can check out decommissioned military equipment, an old spillway on the river, and a decommissioned bridge as well.
