Parking available at the Hoge Road Trailhead and along Stoltz rd off of Vista Rafael Pkwy.

Start just south of the Hoge Road parking lot, veering slightly east of the Keystone Canyon Trail. Up an old rocky road and cross the power line access road to the high point overlooking Reno. Drop down on the UNR downhill trail, staying left at the mountain bike jumps. Hike along the flats beneath power lines past the intersection with the Reno Vista Trail and down to the Upper Evans Canyon trailhead and connection to Miners Trail and Evans Canyon Trail. Open, exposed, rocky, somewhat steep in places, and a technical ascent/descent.
