Restrooms are available at Porcupine Springs and Third Fork.

You access this trail from the bottom, from the campground at Porcupine Springs or via the Third Fork Rock Creek Trail #004. You can access it from the top from Pike Mountain or Wahlstrom Hollow. The trail maintains a steady grade the entire way, making it a tough climb. However, the trail is well-maintained, and doesn't present many technical obstacles. It is also nice and wide, which helps a lot when the vegetation gets thick in late spring and summer. This segment provides a great way to get from the bottom of Little Fork up to the Pike Mountain/Elk Butte ridge. It is also nice and shady throughout much of the trail.
