Description

To get the best views go early or the fog may come in from the sea and blanket everthing.

This trail is probably 90% slog through the thick, verdant temperant rainforest and 10% glorious views above the treeline. For the 90% expect rugged hiking where you might be grabbing roots and small trees to make your way.

Once you top out, it's so beautiful you'll feel like you just cracked open a geode. Take time to wander around and enjoy the views.

Flora & Fauna

Tree ferns, beech trees and if you're lucky you can hear a kiwi (probably only at night though).
