Need to Know

If you drive up to the trailhead, please close the gates -- there is open rangeland in the area.

Description

A high clearance vehicle may be required to get to the trailhead, depending on the time of year. You can always park close to Indian Creek Road and hike up the dirt road to the trailhead. The singletrack trail starts in a narrow gully and you'll cross the Spring Run creek a few times.

Once you turn to the east, you'll climb out of the gully and head into an open forest. This trail ends at a spring-fed watering trough, just below the approach to Spaulding Basin and the Blowout Canyon Trail. The water runs dry at the trough during mid/late summer. A great little trail!

Flora & Fauna

Elk, deer, moose. Pine trees and quaky aspen.
