Description

This trail splits off of the Campground Connector Trail, just before said trail cuts back across the right-of-way field. Following the remains of an old park road, the trail is wide and generally consists of a gravel surface. The only major obstacles along the path are some downed trees that cross the path and certain areas where the trail has given way to erosion and created ruts.

As the path meanders around the Patapsco ridgeline and several small streams, it crosses two large dips, while gradually descending to a lower point on the south end of the trail. There are several rocky overlooks along the east edge of the trail that can offer views of the Patapsco Valley when they are not covered by the summer tree canopy.
