Trail shared by David Smith

A short trail that ties Old Baldhead Road to the Charcoal Trail.

David Smith

Features Historical Significance · River/Creek · Wildlife

Description

This trail starts from the parking area at the south end of Old Baldhead Road and crosses south over Richmond Mountain Road. It runs for a short distance before reaching the junction with the Kripalu Connector. The trail crosses a small brook over a series of stone stairs.

These stone steps are just one of the many masterpieces created by the Berkshire Natural Resources Council. Follow the signs closely through here since there are a few private trails that intersect. The trail passes by an 1827 marker (on the left) and climbs to its end at Charcoal Trail.
