Trail shared by Kayla Panton

Winding through the coastal redwoods, La Corona Trail takes you to a lookout over the Pacific Ocean.

Description

Easy trail with about 300 feet of gradual ascent. A very underrated, not crowded, local trail. The lookout is a great spot to view Santa Cruz county and Monterey Bay. Trail takes you above DeLaveaga lower park and below DeLaveaga Golf Course with many other trails looping around the park and golf and disc golf courses. Trail is also used as a mountain biking trail so watch for bikers, but I only came across one small group.

Flora & Fauna

Redwoods, black tail deer, stellar jays among many other birds.
