Parking via the Pickall day use area is restricted to those renting shelters there. This trail must be accessed from other locations.

Description

The Festivus trail branches off of the Pickall Trail just after passing the Route 70 Overpass. After a sharp cutback, the trail begins a climb up toward the Pickall day use area. The trail is notably uphill for the first 0.3 miles, but once the trail reaches the top of the ridge, it levels out for the most part. While sections of this trail can be flat, there are numerous obstacles, including downed trees, rocks, and roots, as well as small dips into drainage ravines.
