“A fun link-up of two of Boulder's most popular mountains.”— Dave Caldwell
Take Saddle Rock to E.M. Greenman Trail to the left and follow E.M. Greenman Trail to Green Mountain summit.
When you're ready to descend, go to the opposite side of the summit and start descending down to the intersection of the Ranger Trail and Green Mountain West Ridge trail. Take the Green Mountain West Ridge trail to the left and follow it down into the valley to Green-Bear trail on the left.
Take Green-Bear through the valley to Bear Peak West Ridge trail on the right.
Take Bear Peak West Ridge trail all the way to just under Bear Peak summit. Scramble up to the summit and follow the way you just came back to the intersection of Green Mountain West Ridge trail and Ranger Trail. Begin your descent down Green Mountain by taking the Ranger Trail down and hike down the canyon to the intersection with Gregory Canyon trail on the right.
Take Gregory Canyon trail all the way back to Baseline Trail and back to Chautauqua.
