Description

Mendoza is famous as a launching point for folks planning on climbing Aconcagua (the highest point in South America). Cerro Arco is where mountaineers go to train or just hang out at the Puerta de la Quebrada restaurant.

The trail is an old access road for the radio towers at the top of the hill. From the parking lot, the trail proceeds gently up, building in difficulty after about a mile. Just keep your legs pumping and you are treated to a good view of Mendoza and the surrounding area.

The trail is popular all year round and frequented by mountain bikers and paragliders.
