Description

This trail is an old "road" running from Sunshine Saddle (saddle between Gold and Lee Hills in the foothills west of Boulder) down to the paved Lefthand Canyon Road. Generally, it's pretty smooth sailing, but there are a couple of memorable rock gardens with tricky footing. You get a few decent views of the canyon below.

Climbing back up the trail (after a long day on your feet, naturally), is a real puff upward have an easy frollick downward. The grade is just steep enough to make it an aerobic challenge, but you'll be able to hike much of it.
