Description

This is about the easiest possible trail imaginable - a mile of flat crushed gravel. The western half mile winds between two active fields while the easter half is bordered by housing development on the north and farm yards (goats, bees, alpacas) on the south. A creek parallels the trail and has an incredibly high concentration of birds.

The west end of the trail leads to the wide streets of the (Louisville) Colorado Tech Center (can connect to Coal Creek Trail with a bit of street hiking) while the east end brings you to US287. Crossing the busy highway and hiking through the medical campus can bring you to the Rock Creek Trail.
