Description

This hike is far less popular than Daedunsan and Maisan. We parked at a parking lot north of the mountain. There isn't much in the way of food or bathrooms at this trailhead. The trail is part of a much larger trail network that encompasses the Unjangsan National Forest. The trail is pretty relentless and doesn't ease into anything. There are some rocky portions that require care when navigating. Ropes are provided to aid in these sections. There are a some steps and staircases at periodic portions of the trail. The peak just before reaching Unjangsan is actually more rewarding and offers better views and more area to have a snack and relax. Trail sign labels are in Korean, but distances are in kilometers.
