Description

The upper trail splits off the Cub Creek Trail at just over 10,000 feet (no sign as of Oct. 20) and descends through some rock gardens and forest. There are a few rock features that can be tricky when climbing this trail, and fun when coming down! Also, lots of rocks and roots to keep your hike interesting! Keep an eye out when climbing, and make note for the descent. The trail drops you off on a doubletrack (FS Road #103) that takes you back to the Bugling Elk Trail inside of Staunton State Park.
