Begin the Happy Hollow Trail from the Ferne Clyffe State Park parking/picnic areas. Heading north on Route 37, take a left into the park's loop and continue until you reach a junction for the campsite loop. Once again, stay left and continue driving until you pass Fern Clyffe Lake. From here, turn right and continue until you've found parking/picnic areas.

From the picnic areas, head west along the trail until you reach a junction with the Happy Hollow Horse Trail and River to River Trail. Continue west and then south along these trails (all three follow the same route), making your way around the loop and back north. Pass the junction with Rocky Branch Trail and work your way north until you've reached the original junction, head east, and you're back at the picnic and parking areas.
