Need to Know

I think it's 2-3 GPB to park. The visitor center has maps, restrooms and a nice cafe.

Description

The trail starts and ends at the Glenmore Visitor Center. There are maps in the visitor center, but basically head towards the Reindeer center (tours at 11am) and then head up the smaller gravel trail.

Follow the colored indicators until you get the the Loch. Enjoy the view and skip some rocks until you're ready to go. (Note: from the loch you can head up to another loch on an out-and-back if you want to extend the hike).

Head back down on the singletrack spur that you didn't come up on. You'll head up a pretty steep section and then catch some great views. After that, it's a pretty gradual downhill for the rest of the hike. When done, enjoy a cup of tea and a light lunch at the quite good visitor center cafe.

Flora & Fauna

Birds, squirrels.
