Parking is available at the Golf Club and Trailhead parking lot at 1680 Pageland Highway, Monroe, NC 28112 or at the end of the trail at 1228 East Roosevelt Boulevard, Monroe, NC 28112.

The Monroe Country Club Trail begins at the parking lot for the Monroe Country Club and Pro Shop. To access the beginning of the trail, look for Carolina Thread Trail signs and go downhill toward Richardson Creek. The trail is paved and follows Richardson Creek north before going under Pageland Highway.

After the underpass, the trail crosses the creek and then follows the west side of the golf course. The Thread Trail portion of the trail turns left and goes toward Highway 74, where it ends, but users can continue to follow a paved path around the golf course for additional distance.
