Parking and restrooms are located at the Nature Center.

Begin at the Nature Center, taking a right off Hughes Road when approaching from the east. The center is directly across from a pavilion. Head south from the center and turn west at the junction of Big Walnut Crossing Trail and Prairie View Trail. You'll make your way south until eventually meeting another junction with Red-Tailed Ridge. Veer right (west) and continue along the trail, crossing over the historic bridge (you'll cross the Barred Owl Roost Trail twice along the way). At the end of the bridge, head north until you reach the final junction. From there, you may take the Fox Chase west or Coyote Ridge east.
