Description

This is a section of the trail along the Sandy River that forms the backbone of Oxbow Regional Park that stretches from the Alder group picnic area to the Boat Launch. It is a mixed use trail for both hiking and biking, but not horses. The trail is well made with a mix of packed dirt, wood chips, and some gravel fill. At the beginning, there is a small spur down to the river, and another one about 0.4 miles along the trail. The former accesses a large sand bar but the latter will go right to the water in winter and spring.
