“The name says it all. Flat and fast trail through pine flatwoods, oak hammocks, and Florida scrub.”— Mitch Hammer
Family Friendly County operated park includes overnight camping, paved parking, and facilities.
There are no significant uphills or downhills to speak of. This trail is equally enjoyable backwards where it continues on after Marker Post #37 to Deliverance. There are bailouts along the way including the Bobcat Trail or the Powerline corridor (between Markers #36-37) which bring you back north to the main Starkey Wilderness Path.
The trails at Starkey Park are built and maintained by the SWAMP Club organization.
