Trail starts and ends in the parking lot. Almost entirely flat with the exception of one hill about halfway through the trail, but the hill is only about a 40 ft elevation gain over a hundred yards or so. Some parts of the trail can be muddy for several days after a rain but alternative routes are available. A bridge crosses over the water in the back of the lake and a smaller bridge crosses over the creek on the bottom side of the dam. Trail markers are not used as the trail is well established.
