Need to Know

Plenty of parking. I have never seen more than two or three other cars here.

Description

The Red Trail is a connector trail that allows for a shorter loop, if the bigger 15 mile loop isn't what you are looking for.

Though it is nothing special, this area is the best area I found in South Florida to hike (I didn't explore the Gulf coast side).

There is also the Green Trail, a bit north of this one that also connects the east to these same two trails. It allows for a approximately 9 mile loop.

Flora & Fauna

Standard south Florida/Everglades vegetation—snakes, gators...

There is a nice grove of Live Oaks at one point.
