Description

This trail winds through the forest near the center of Flandrau State Park. Towering cottonwood trees can be seen interspersed with maples and oaks here.

The trail itself is mostly a wide path of mowed grass, which makes for an easy hike. It meets up with the River Trail and passes very close to the park's headquarters.

Flora & Fauna

Often, you can catch sight of deer here. Signs of woodpeckers can be seen in some of the old rotted trees and if you are lucky, you might see or hear one. If you come at the right time of year, wild raspberries grow on the trail and can be sampled right off the canes.
