Overview

Get to know the surroundings of the city of Cluj-Napoca. This trail is used for an MTB marathon, but it's a great place to take a hike. There is no risk of big wild animals.

Along the trail you can find panels describing types of trees and animals that live in the area. Learn more about "trovanti," big and perfectly round stones and the legend that surrounds these "dragon eggs."

Description

This trail is a pretty easy one. If the length scares you, you can turn around at any point. The first half of the trail is almost "crowded," as you can find a lot of families with children taking a walk in the weekends. Be careful for bikes—don't hike exactly on the bike trail to avoid any accidents.

Enjoy a small lake and a view over the villages in the area, at the half of the trail. In the second half, you'll probably not encounter as many people as before, but it is still a really nice forest. We did not encounter any difficulties.
