Need to Know

Hidden Villa charges $10 for parking. Pay at the entrance booth if it is open, otherwise drop your money in the can at the main kiosk.

Free trail maps are available at the kiosk. Water is available at the corner of the Educational Garden, across the bark chip area from the kiosk. Bicycle parking is available in this area.

Description

Cross the three creek bridges over the arms of Adobe Creek, and head into the woodland. Pass along Adobe Creek with its rushing water and small waterfalls (during the wet season). The shady woodland of bay and oak trees can be teeming with banana slugs. A slight incline leads you up to a creek crossover, and later a wooden bridge.

Take a water break at the junction with the higher Pipeline Trail. Return along the higher Pipeline Trail. You'll see occasional views of Elephant Mountain and the other hills in the Adobe Creek watershed. As you descend the switchbacks you'll hear the creek below you. Welcome back to the creek, almost exactly where you started.

Flora & Fauna

Bay, oak trees. Madrone. Poison Oak (stay on the trail to avoid it).
Banana slugs. Stellar Jays.
