Description

The trail builds slowly through some thick wetlands before it powers up the hill with on some switchbacks. After 3/4 of a mile you split away from the Gallatin Valley Trust land and enter Gallatin National Forest. Cruise along some easier, flat forested land, passing Hodgeman Canyon Trail #429 along the way, until you attain a blunt ridge. Eventually you peel away from the ridge and cut across a steep face. The forest opens with some newer growth trees that allows for some good vistas. Soon after, the trail turns to a logging road and in another mile it ends at Forest Service Road 6210.
