Need to Know

There are pit toilets at the parking lot.

Description

This trail begins near the Auger Falls Park Trailhead, but requires a short hike down a maintenance road that leads to the north from the parking lot. The trail leads off to the right and has some interpretative signage about the Urie Homestead, which was a turkey farm and a mining camp established around 1915. The walls of the old house are still standing, but a recent fire damaged it significantly. The trail forks at the ruins. One fork follows the river, and provides views of waterfowl, rapids, and a rich riparian environment. The trail then circles back to the ruins, and you can follow the main trail back to the beginning.

Flora & Fauna
