Description

Most of this lightly-used trail—at least up to Robinson Pass—winds up Robinson Creek through a variable and quite beautiful forest. Views open up higher up as well as down in the upper Pasayten River to the north of the pass. There are meadows and many random places to camp in the upper Pasayten River and also places to camp on the upper Robinson Creek side.

You could also camp right at the pass although I did not see any water sources right at the pass.To the west you can access trails to the Pacific Crest Trail on both the Robinson Creek and Pasayten River sections. Other side trails to the north and east can take you up to small lakes, which, according to locals, are good for fishing. Sections vary in difficulty from intermediate to slightly steeper and a little more taxing.

Trailhead access is west of Winthrop, Washington, then right onto Lost River Road with the trailhead on the right.
