Description

Much of the trail is subject to truck noise from nearby Interstate 64. There is a wonderful, flat campsite about two thirds of the way up the mountain—likely the former location of a caretaker's hut when the fire tower still existed. Trail forms the border of the federally designated Rich Hole Wilderness for part of its ascent.
