Description

Park (for free) at Tyresta Village.

Bylsjöslingen passes wetlands in a few places, especially in wet weather, so be aware of that. On the trail there are slippery rocks, stones, roots and footbridges (when wet).

The trail is marked with green/white signs.

This is a great hike, and a fun area to explore. Take a swim in Lake Bylesjön when you pass. Bring hotdogs (a picnic) and have a barbecue at Lake Bylesjön's campfire. Or have a snack at the café in Tyresta Village after your hike.

If you have time, you must pay Tyresta Village a longer visit—it is the main entrance to the national park. It's considered to be among the best preserved villages in the Stockholm region and has been inhabited since the iron age. The buildings date back to the 18th century and have been preserved in their original state. There is a café, a farm with a rather unusual animal center, and a little farm shop.
