Description

This trail creates a great loop from Bridge of heaven via Horsethief Trail to Dexter Creek. I completed this trail starting at the junction with the Horsethief Trail and ending where it connects with Dexter Creek Trail #205.

The initial turnoff from Horsethief Trail is signed, but the trail is basically nonexistent. Look for cairns and wood posts to guide you through the initial mile or so before the trail becomes more well defined. The Hiking Project mobile app was very useful here.

Lots of ups and downs with no serious climbs or descents, but close to 1000' of climbing along the way, with spectacular views of the San Juans. Near the Dexter Creek Trail #205 there were countless fallen trees which made passage difficult. The junction with Dexter is also well signed.
