It is unclear if Forest Road 58 and Mad Tom Notch Road are maintained during the winter.
Description
This trail starts from the small parking area at the end of Forest Road 58. The trail descends from behind the gate down to a marsh (on the right). From the marsh, the trail rises, then descends moderately to Griffith Lake. Here, there are excellent views across the lake. This trail ends at the junction with the AT/ LT.
