From the Camp Rock Campground, the trail navigates through a forests along a creek for about 1 mile. When you cross Bear Creek, you'll see the first burn area, Beartrack burn. Go through the burn, and you re-enter the forest and soon after skirt the border of an older burn area, the Resthouse Meadows burn.
