Need to Know

Despite the underlying map listing this road as XB442, the map link and the signs (on site) have it marked as XB441.

Description

This gravel road branches west off the northern end of Bear Notch Road. The road passes a kiosk for the Forest and some information boards. At 0.7 miles, the road passes by XB44E (on the left) and continues forward right around a bend. In a short distance, Pine Street Trail 2 will be on the right (marked by boulder barricades). At 1.0 mile, XB442 will be on the left. XB441 is a dead end road, so XB442 is the connector if you wish to travel further. The trail passes by a sandpit (on the left) and continues to a dead end turnaround.
