Description
This alternate trail splits off the main trail in the Effigy Mounds South Unit to head north along a ridgetop. When the trail splits in the prairie area, take the left fork. You'll pass by a bear mound, followed by a thunderbird mound and a large compound mound. Views of the river are only available when the leaves are off the trees.
