Family Friendly Beautiful trail along the creek with waterfall views. Parts of this trail can be rocky or muddy.

Description

This trail, also shown as Trail 7 and part of the Lake to Lake Loop, is perhaps the premier attraction in the park along with the lakes. You'll be able to gain this trail shortly after the main dam off of Round Lake Path (Trail 1).

The trail goes south along the eastern bank of the Lacamas Creek which can typically be seen flowing in the gorge below. Very shortly you'll find yourself above Pothole Falls. Keep going to a clearer view of the falls from a rocky clearing just down river.

After this the trail will arch around a bend in the creek and through some extra-mossy trees. Round a rocky outcropping to some nice rapids in front of a cliff face. Finally the trail terminates at a bridge over Lower Falls.

It couldn't have been a more perfect day, brisk but sunny. Timber loved splashing in the creek, and the waterfalls were nice destination points 2.6mi — 2h 00m
