“Climb out of the valley to beautiful lookouts and technical cave/rock exploring.”

The Bruce Trail coincides with a snowmobile trail so watch out in the winter.
This trail gains elevation as it climbs out of the valley and provides viewpoints over the Pretty River and surrounding area. At the top, take the loop through the Standing Rock and Caves Side Trail
to get a look at natural wonders of the Niagara Escarpment.
From the parking lot, follow the Bruce Trail as it follows the Pretty River through the forest out to a sideroad. The trail follows the road a short distance and ends with a climb up a wide snowmobile trail. The trail has a break in the climb as it opens up to a pasture and joins another short section of road. This provides views of the rest of the climb and the surrounding valley.
Continue on the trail and climb to the top of the ridge. Follow the Bruce Trail until you reach the Standing Rock and Caves Side Trail
. This is a rocky, technical trail so watch your footing. Options for exploring abound!
The Bruce Trail descends from here to the trailhead, so enjoy the cruise back down the valley. But stop to take in the viewpoint overlooking the valley and your descent before you go!
Return down the Bruce Trail to the parking at the valley bottom.
